A golden coloured dessert apple with orange-red flushing. The flavour is rich and sweet, almost honeyed. The flesh is creamy-white coloured, light, crisp and juicy. It is picked in mid October, and can be kept until June, though the skin can become greasy. Jonagold was originally raised in America in1943. Parentage: Jonathan X Golden Delicious.
