Tydemans Early Worcester

Tydemans Early Worcester is a cross between Worcester Pearmain and McIntosh. It is juicier than Pearmain with a slightly sweeter flavour, but it does not keep as well as Pearmain and marks easily. It is usually picked a week before Worcester Pearmain but as it is only grown commercially on a very small scale in the UK it only has a very short season. Tydemans Early Worcester was introduced in 1928 from the East Malling Research Station and was bred by H.M. Tydeman
