Beurre Hardy

Beurre Hardy is one of the finest dessert pears. Tender, juicy and sweet with a hint of rosewater. Introduced in France in 1820, it is also known as ‘The Butter Pear’. Not as widely grown as Doyenne Du Comice, it is mid season pear, with eating qualities far surpassing early varieties such as Williams or Laxton’s Foremost.
